Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and efficient General Production Worker to operate machinery and ensure quality production in a warm environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and complete assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Perform wiping operations as trained, ensuring quality and precision.
• Remove paint and repaint turnbacks or rejects when necessary.
• Process all required paperwork accurately.
• Inspect parts for quality and remove any damaged parts from the production line.
• Initiate and respond to AMT (Additional Material & Time) requests for turnbacks or reworks to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Compose viable corrective actions when provided with an AMT by a downstream department.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the wiping area.
• Meet established labor standards, maintaining an average weekly labor utilization of over 90%.
• Adhere to the department schedule and achieve a production schedule on-time delivery rate of 92%.
• Generate value enhancements that benefit the department and the company.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general labor and production line operations.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work efficiently in a warehouse production setting.
• Capability to perform assembly and assembly line tasks.

Work Environment

The position offers two shift options: 1st shift from 5:30am to 2:30pm with flexibility. Fridays have reduced hours from 5:30am to 11:30am. The work environment is warm, and adherence to safety standards is paramount.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Red Wing, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
