Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient and physician schedules, managing bookkeeping, file organization, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patients. This role is essential in upholding our commitment to treating patients as individuals and advocating for our hospital programs, in alignment with our Mission, Vision, Values, and Motto of “The Patient is First in All We Do.”
Essential Duties:
- Answer multi-line phones and direct callers to the appropriate party or address their needs directly.
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of physician time.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage file organization.
- Verify insurance edibility
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to service.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to carry, climb, hear/listen, lift, reach and manipulate objects, tools, or equipment, push/pull, see, speak, squat/kneel, stand, and walk. Position requires moving materials weighing 10 – 20 pounds, and 25 – 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period. Work involves the potential for exposure to infection. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
