Job Description

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program , a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.

Duties

The Physiatrist will see patients in consultation from other providers to determine rehabilitation needs and progress. The Physiatrist may also perform procedures such as EMG/NCV, trigger point injections, joint injections, botulinum toxin injections, interventional procedures, and spinal manipulation when indicated. The incumbent reports to the Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Service. The Physiatrist serves as a key clinical resource for matters involving Rehabilitation services. Candidates must have demonstrated clinical and administrative knowledge and experience enabling successful leadership of a large, multidisciplinary service and the ability to provide excellent patient care.
