We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in San Jose, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax-related tasks while enhancing your expertise. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a passion for accuracy to contribute to our dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual, corporate, fiduciary, and estate tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
• Conduct in-depth research on international tax issues tailored to specific client needs.
• Manage communications and correspondence with clients to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Handle interactions with tax authorities, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
• Utilize tax preparation software, such as Lacerte, to efficiently complete tax-related tasks.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Stay informed on federal tax regulations and global tax issues to better serve our clients.
• Assist in analyzing complex financial data to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline tax preparation and reporting processes.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a Master’s in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
• At least one tax season of experience at an accounting or CPA firm.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, such as Lacerte, and other accounting tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of federal tax regulations and income tax accounting principles.
• Familiarity with global tax issues and their implications for clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
